The Community Relations and Marketing Department is a fast-paced, dynamic, and service-focused team dedicated to advancing the 120 year Gritman mission of providing exceptional healthcare in all the communities we serve. Reporting to the Director of Community Relations and Marketing, the Community Relations and Marketing Assistant supports the work of the department by managing the department’s front office and administrative activities including: welcoming guests in-person and on the phone; responding to department requests for assistance or support; managing the department’s calendar and project task tracking; communicating with hospital personnel and community partners; processing invoices and related forms; organizing and staffing internal and external events; assisting in the design and production of print and digital marketing collateral using established brand templates; and being a dedicated contributor to our tight-knit, performance-driven, patient-focused team.
Associate's degree or higher is preferred with study in a related field including communications, public relations, marketing, or advertising.
Minimum Work Experience
2-3 years in a professional office environment. Preference given to work in in a related field including communications, public relations, marketing, or advertising.
Professional oral and written communications skills, computer experience in word processing, document formatting, spreadsheet management, and use of mail merge and templates in the Microsoft Office suite. Preference for some basic experience in design and layout using the Adobe Creative suite.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate experience and initiative in leading administrative projects. This will include delegating and managing deliverables from other contributors, contractors, and volunteers.
General public and internal hospital departments and staff.
All Gritman Community Relations and Marketing team members are expected to participate in and support promotional events and activities throughout the calendar year as assigned. These events and activities occur both indoors and outdoors in all seasons, and may require the ability to lift, bend, carry and stack items up to 50 pounds. Use of ladders may also be required.
This position is located at our main hospital campus in downtown Moscow. The office is an indoor facility but work is occasionally off site and outdoors. Occasional exposure to noise from hallway traffic, computers and telephones. Minimal exposure to biohazardous materials.
